Who Should Attend –

If you have recently or not so recently purchased a digital SLR camera and would like to learn how to utilize it without being stuck on ‘Auto’, this workshop is for you!

Many of you have kids, holidays and adventures you would love to be able to capture but just aren’t getting the results you want.  We want to offer you some tools and techniques that can up your chances greatly of getting that great shot!

What You’ll Be Learning –

This will be a fun, whirlwind tour of the basics of photography.  Not too technical or complicated but definitely thorough:-).

Meg and I will be covering many of the following ideas while keeping it a dialogue with you –

  1. Aperture
  2. Shutter Speed
  3. ISO
  4. Exposure
  5. White Balance
  6. RAW vs. Jpeg
  7. Pop Up Flash (Can it work for you?)

Along the way we’ll have some specific scenarios and ideas on how to compose an appealing image.

Boulevard Park Woods is going to be a great location for this workshop for several reasons.  The primary being that we can start inside and talk about how to create great images in this scenario.  While at the same time (weather permitting), we’ll have the beautiful park to learn in.

What To Bring –

Definitely yourself and an excitement to process a bunch of fun information

Your digital SLR camera

A notebook to jot down notes and questions along the way.

** We would love to be able to help those with point and shoot cameras but this is a workshop for those with SLR cameras that want to learn how to utilize them.  If you have a point and shoot camera that you want to take better photos with, let me know and we’ll have some tools and possibly even an event for you as well.
